Municipal Fiber-to-the-Premise Networks
In partnership with equity partners and municipal bond underwriters, BitStream provides turnkey design and construction management for Citywide / Countywide fiber optic network solutions for Tier 2-5 municipalities.
During the design phase, BitStream is responsible for completing all required network distribution engineering and site data acquisition. Once construction starts, BitStream manages the day-to-day construction of the network. As the infrastructure is installed by local licensed contractors, BitStream technicians inspect / certify / and commission all of the network’s fiber termination as well as configures all equipment to insure project specifications are maintained.
BitStream is prepared to work with any local contractor or directly with the Municipality’s internal line crew. BitStream has a comprehensive training process that is designed to quickly get the local labor force trained and certified in order to minimize implementation times.
